What Personal Information do we collect?
The Personal Information we collect will depend on the nature of your interaction with us. For example:
ausloto.com- if you apply for a ausloto.com Account on our Website or Mobile App, we will request and collect the information set out in the registration form, including your name, email, date of birth and gender (for statistical purposes). We will also monitor and collect information about your use of ausloto.com. If you complete the Age Confirmation Process, we will ask you for additional information, including your current NZ Driver Licence number and version, or your NZ Passport number and expiry date (we do not store this information, it is only collected for the limited purpose of Age Confirmation).
Retail Stores– Lotto retailers may collect CCTV footage from our retailers and transaction information from our payment provider in accordance with notices that they provide in their stores or online. They may share this information with us in limited circumstances, where we need to verify a Prize claim or in connection with our fraud prevention, social responsibility and responsible gambling activities (as discussed below).
Prizes- if you claim a Prize for a Ticket, we will request and collect the information set out in the Prize Claim Form or Online Prize Claim Form, such as you name, contact details and bank account details (for payment of your Prize and for responsible gambling activities).
Customer service– we may collect information relating to your communications with us, including when you contact the ausloto.com customer support team (by telephone, webchat, or email).
You are not required to provide us with, or authorise us to collect, Personal Information that we request. However, if you do not do so, you may not be able to purchase a Ticket or register for ausloto.com or we may not be able to provide other services to you.

Payment information
ausloto.com does not collect any payment information, other than your bank account if we are paying you a Prize or if you use bank payments to deposit funds for the credit of your Account on ausloto.com.
If you deposit funds for the credit of your Account on ausloto.com using your credit or debit Card, we use Windcave Limited (or its related companies) to process the transaction. Windcave Limited operates a secure server to process your payment details, encrypts your Card information and authorises payment directly. Information about other people
If you provide us with, or authorise us to collect, Personal Information about another person (for example, Personal Information about your employees (if you are a retailer), you confirm that they have authorised you to provide us their Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and that you have informed them of their rights to access their Personal Information, as set out below.

Anonymous information
ausloto.com may use aggregated and anonymous information (where identifiable characteristics are removed, so that you will remain anonymous) for statistical, research and product development purposes and to make ausloto.com better for you and to help you find what you're looking for more easily. For example, we use Google Analytics on our Website and Mobile App) to help us to highlight any areas that may require change or improvement and identify ways in which we can make your user experience more enjoyable. These products do not collect Personal Information about you, but they provide us with information to tell us how you use our Website and App, but if you wish to prevent the collection of user data you can download and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-On.
ausloto.com may also collect anonymous information from third parties, such as information relating to use of ausloto.com social media accounts (ausloto.com Social Media Accounts).

Where possible, where you’ve blocked a game we may also use that information to prevent you from seeing advertisements for that game.

Marketing communications– if you apply for a ausloto.com account or otherwise subscribe to ausloto.com communications, we may use your contact information to provide you with personalised information, including by email and other electronic means (such as push-notifications on the Mobile App). If you have “opted in” to marketing communications, this may include promotional material about ausloto.com and updates on upcoming lottery draws.
Tailored marketing - we may use your personal information to display targeted advertising to you through ausloto.com and third party websites and their platforms including Google, Meta and The Trade Desk. We may use intermediary tools such as cleanrooms to share non-personally identifiable information (e.g. information about users that is encrypted and aggregated so that you can’t be identified as an individual) to deliver relevant advertising through our trusted publishing partners while still protecting your privacy.
Records – we may store Prize claim forms, including Online Prize Claim Forms (and any related information) for between 3 - 10 years after the Prize is claimed, depending on the Prize division and claim details, in accordance with our obligations under the Public Records Act (2005).
Training and product development – if you contact our call centre, we may record your call or collect Personal Information for our internal quality control, training, disputes, claims, or other purposes that may be related to the ombudsman. We may also use anonymous information for our general business purposes, including Website and Game development and planning.
Other - we may use your Personal Information for any other purpose authorised by you or permitted by law.
